BONOBO has just returned from Gibraltar after spending the last year here and cruising the south Spanish and North African coast. The owner has said that the bimini was particularly useful in offering protection from the heat of the North African sun!
We know this Bavaria 49 well as we sold her to her current owner and she is reluctantly back on the market due to changed circumstances. She is looking fantastic. BONOBO had a full rigging check and engine service this year as well as being recently been antifouled and having anodes fitted.
This is an outstanding boat and great value for money. In great condition and offering a high level of equipment. Equipment includes full navigation instrumentation, satellite phone, generator, rope cutter, wind generator, electronic windlass, snap davits, life raft and electronic charts for North Europe, Biscay, Portugal and the Med.
This Bavaria 49 has just been antifouled and has had her engine serviced. The rigging was checked recently and a babystay added (she also has a removeable emergency backstay).
BONOBO was professionally converted from the 5 cabin version so currently has 4 sleeping cabins – but could the layout could easily be re- worked. The layout works really well and offers spacious and comfortable accommodation. U shaped galley, opposite comfortable dining area as well as navigation station with full instrumentation.
Sails include a fully battened mainsail (replaced this year), a recently laundered Elvestrom furling genoa with a new UV strip ,a furling genoa, that is almost new, a genneker with snuffer, tri-sail and storm sail.
Minimum effort is needed by the skipper and crew to sail this stunning boat so she vcan be sailed short handed if needed. She is more than ready for her next voyage.
Currently moored on a pontoon berth on the River Dart in Dartmouth, Devon and available for viewing.
