Broom 1070 For Sale In Kent
Built in 1989 this Broom 1070 offers six berths spread across two cabins and a spacious saloon. She is perfect for hosting family and friends. Benefiting from 2024 updated Raymarine navigation equipment, including an Axiom 9 Chart Plotter, Raymarine Depth gauge, Speed/log, and VHF radio, reconditioned cockpit enclosure, new carpets and fridge/freezer. This Broom 1070 offers great sea-keeping abilities and is powered by two turbo-charged 200hp Nanni diesel engines fitted new in 2007, equipped with shafts and two new 2 x 5-bladed fixed propellers and a total fuel capacity of 720 Litres. A new survey is currently being commissioned by the owner. A 2024 survey can be seen by anyone viewing the boat. The owner has confirmed that all recommendations from the survey have been completed.

Accommodation
The Broom 1070 offers accommodation for six people across two cabins and saloon. The forecabin offers a V berth with under-berth storage, this cabin also includes a full-length hanging wardrobe and additional storage space.
The heads, positioned on the port side behind the forward cabin, features a sink set in a vanity unit and a marine toilet. The sink is equipped with hot and cold water, including a shower attachment.
Hot water is supplied by the engine through a calorifier tank and a 240V immersion heater, this vessel also benefits from an 80 Litre grey water holding tank.
The galley, opposite the heads to the starboard side, includes a double stainless-steel sink with pressurized hot and cold water, a four-burner gas hob with an oven and grill, a microwave, 12–Volt fridge freezer, 240-volt sockets, and ample storage space.
Ascending into the main saloon, this area offers great natural light and great visibility through two large forward and three side-facing windows to both port and starboard. The saloon benefits from a U-shaped seating area with blue upholstery to starboard, under-seat storage and plenty of extra storage via cupboards on the port side. This area also benefits from an internal helm position with full engine controls and vessel control switches. This Broom 1070 also benefits from a radio/CD Player and TV in the saloon.
Steps at the rear of the saloon lead down to the owner’s cabin, with a large central island double bed with underbed storage, draws on either side of the bed and a hanging wardrobe to starboard. The owner's cabin also boasts an en-suit with a sink set in a vanity unit and an electric marine toilet. The sink is equipped with hot and cold water, including a shower attachment.
The companion way leads to the aft cockpit, with an external helm located on the starboard side, with a double helm seat with full engine controls and operational navigation aids. This area is complete with a fully enclosed canopy, a single navigator seat to port, and twin-bench seating to both port and starboard with under-seat storage to the stern. The cockpit also provides access to the bathing platform via a stainless-steel ladder.

Mechanical Systems
This Broom 1070 has twin 200hp Nanni 4.390 turbocharged diesel engines, fitted new in 2007, driving shafts with 2 x 5-bladed fixed propellers with rope cutters.
The engines are fresh water-cooled that were last serviced in June 2023 by Frank Marine. The engines have completed a total of 1620 hours, as of 20th October 2024.
There are two 360-litre Steel fuel tanks giving a total fuel capacity of 720 litres. The Broom 1070 has an approximate cruising speed of 14 knots with an approximate top speed of 18 knots. To make handling easy this boat is fitted a bow thruster and trim tabs.
Electrical Systems
The Broom 1070 is equipped with five 12-volt batteries. (2 x engine, 2024) + (2 x domestic, 2024 + (1 x Genset start, 2024)
These batteries are charged both by the alternator and battery charger when connected to the 240V power system. Managing the 12V system is a Victron Energy Blue Smart charging system, ensuring optimal performance of the electrical setup onboard.
This Broom 1070 also benefits from a 4KVA Generator with only 300Hrs connected to a 240v ring main throughout. The vessel also includes an immersion heater and battery charger.

History & Construction
This Broom 1070, built in 1989, features a white GRP hull and superstructure with stainless steel stanchions, pulpit, and a stainless-steel ladder leading to the bathing platform. Its deep V hull design ensures excellent stability at sea. The vessel was last out of the water in October 2024 for antifouling, new props, hull polish and anode replacement. All of the windows have been removed and rebedded. The current owner has enjoyed the boat for the last year and is selling due to looking for a smaller vessel. A 2024 survey is available upon viewing, and the owner has confirmed that all recommendations from the survey have been completed. The owner has commissioned a new survey.
