Boat History
Purchased as new in 2007 and stayed in Arklow until 2017 with light use.
Next owner bought her in 2017 where she had light use again. He traded up to a larger boat.
Present owner bought her in 2021 and spent a considerable amount on upgrades.
Owner's Comments
"Capella of Kinsale" has been lavished upon since she was purchased. Starting with new rigging in 2021. This is because she really deserves the care and attention as she is a fabulous sailing boat. With the large fin she points high and above all, with the addition of new plotter and an AIS Transponder, she is a safe capable boat.
Her last time sailing was the return home from Cork Week 2022 where she was joint 3rd in the White Sail racing.
As an owner that lives overseas, I have ensured that she is in top form for whenever I visit to sail her, with the help of a local Marine Engineer with no expense spared.
This year the plan was to sail in Irish regional regattas including one coastal race. However, unexpected surgery in March has not allowed this to happen.
