‘Kit Nay’ has been extremely well maintained through having the wheelhouse re-built, the engines overhauled and the hull re-epoxied in 2002. She is a fine example of a very popular class where the owner has kept in very good condition
Accommodation
‘Kit Nay’ offers 6 berths in two cabins. The main cabin/saloon area with side and forward windows and a hatch over the port side is entered via the wheelhouse which consists of a galley immediately to port which has a large hatch over the top and is equipped with a two burner Calor B600 non-gimballed gas stove, sink, a great deal of cupboards and storage space and a 12 volt fridge. The main saloon area and table is forward of the galley on the port side. The large table has bench seating facing each other and the table can be dropped down to form a double berth and also there’s cupboard space along the port side. Also in the saloon area is a large bench seat on the starboard side facing the table with a small storage unit with an in-built radio/cassette player with an additional graphics equiliser. In the forepeak which is open plan to the saloon area with a curtain divider is a double berth with a hatch to the foredeck. Further aft to starboard opposite the galley is a separate toilet and shower compartment. The wheelhouse is midships with the helm position to port with all the engine instruments and navigation equipment. There’s bench seating aft of the helm and on the starboard side. The Wheelhouse has access from both port and starboard side. On the starboard side of the wheelhouse lies the gas locker and stowage space. The spacious aft cabin steps down from the wheelhouse where there’s a large double berth to starboard and a hatch over the port side. Across the stern and the port side lies mahogany dressing table with drawers and cupboard space then an additional heads on the port side.
Mechanical and Rigging
The engines are 2 6354 115hp six cylinder diesel units flexibly mounted on a pair of GRP bearers on each side of the vessels centreline.
Inventory
The navigation equipment found onboard is an echo sounder, a wind direction/speed indicator, compass, Garmin 128 GPS, VHF Icom ICM 59 radio, autopilot and charts. Â 2 horseshoe life belts, 3 fire extinguishers, fenders, mooring lines, boat hooks, boarding ladder and a shore power cable. Â
