This 1988 Birchwood TS31 with twin Volvo Penta TAMD31A 130HP diesel on shaft drive is ideal for cruising the East Coast and the local Rivers. She is in great condition for her year, really nice clean example throughout. She has been owned by the current owners for the past two years who are returning to sail. She has a double forward cabin. Open planned saloon and her aft galley area with dinette also convert to a double for the occasional guest.

Accommodation
This Birchwood TS31 has a very roomy fully enclosed wheelhouse/saloon with a stairway leading up to the aft cockpit with helm position.
The saloon has been converted so that the previous chunky settees have been removed and replaced with four free-standing comfortable chairs. To Port is the navigation station with an array of instrumentation and provides an excellent all-around view.
Going aft and down two steps brings you into the aft dinette with a galley to Port with a stainless-steel sink and draining board that has pressurised hot and cold water, Hot water heated via a calorifer tank and 240V immersion heater. The galley has a Voyager 4500 two burner gas cooker with grill and oven, microwave and a 12V Fridge The galley has good storage lockers. Opposite the Galley is the Dinette which can seat six in comfort. The dinette table can be lowered to make into a double berth.
Going forward from the saloon and two steps down to Port is the heads compartment with a manual marine toilet with holding tank, a single sink with hot and cold water.
Forward of the Heads is the Foreward cabin with a double island berth. It has a hanging locker and good storage space.
The stairway from the saloon leads out and up to the aft cockpit This has an adjustable helms seat and good storage lockers and fender baskets. There is a ladder down to the bathing platform.
Mechanical and Rigging
This Birchwood TS31 has twin Volvo Penta TAMD31A Turbo, 130HP 4 cylinder diesel engines located under the saloon floor. Single lever controls. Freshwater cooled. Engine last serviced by the owner in November 2017. She has 2 x 75 litre fuel tanks. She is shaft drive to a 3 blade bronze prop. It has a 4Hp Vetus Bowthruster. She will crusie at approx 18 knots and has an approx maximum speed of 22 knots.
5 x 12-Volt Batteries (2 x Domestic, 2 x Engine and 1 x Bow Thruster) charged by engine alternator and battery charger (new 2017) via 240V shore power system.
