Broker Remarks

The Callisto 385  was designed by Bill Dixon and built to the highest standards. She is a very capable long-distance cruiser both safe and sturdy as well as providing a very comfortable living space for the longest of cruises.
She has been well looked after and updated by her current owners. Her standing rigging was replaced in 2018, her engine has been bench reconditioned and regularly serviced. The teak decks are of the highest quality and were refurbished in 2016.

The Callisto 385 is a genuine go-anywhere cruising yacht and she is ready for her next adventure.

Owners comments

We bought Harbinger from the original owners in 2001, and after sailing around the Solent and along the South Coast as far as The Scilly Isles and across the Channel to France / Brittany for a few years, we set off for the Mediterranean in 2005.
Having reached the Algarve, in Portugal, and over-wintered there, we made our way down to Gibraltar and into the Mediterranean, where we went as far south as Sicily and Malta, before heading east to Greece and then as far as Antalya, in Turkey.
We came home via the Adriatic, spending 10 days in Albania before reaching Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy - a highlight being sailing into Venice. Harbinger was then transported overland from Slovenia to Belgium, from where we sailed her home in 2015.  In 2018 we sailed to Holland and explored some of the inland waterways. We have had some great adventures, but are now 20 years older than when we first bought her, and it is time we let someone else have the pleasure of owning and sailing her.

Accommodation

This Callisto 385 sleeps 6 in comfort. The forward cabin has twin berths with two hanging lockers. The forward heads is large with a shower.The aft cabin has a double berth, dressing table and bench seat. The ensuite heads has a sink and full-sized shower. There are two single settee berths in the saloon.
The interior joinery is of English ash and American cherry which gives a warm quality feel to her living space,it is all in very good condition. There is ample storage space for long-term living aboard.

The large well laid-out galley has a twin stainless steel sink , oven,grill with two burners, refrigerator with ice box and a large dry storage locker.

Her upholstery is new from 2021 and is in as new condition.
