Broker Remarks
Pericles is a fantastic example of the Contessa 26 built by Jeremy Rogers to a David Sadler design. These are incredibly sea worthy boats and they became famous when 18-year-old Tania Aebi chose the design for her solo circumnavigation in 1985. She has served the current owners very as their first boat over the last few years but with a young family they regretably need to say good bye and are in need of a little less performance and a little more space. She has been much loved and looked after over this time with many new additions added and refined such as dodgers, VHF, lazy jacks, re-upholstery and hull painted to name a few and she has also been winterised ashore for at least the last 10 years. It's also important to note she has a self draining cockpit unlike many other Contessa's of a similar age.She is currently ashore at Birdham, Chichester for the winter where she is being anitfouled and the sails laundered, all ready to be sailed away for the start of a new season. You will struggle to find a better example of this beautifully built and designed boat and viewing her is recommended.
