The Freedom 35 is an extremely well-built long keeled, cruising boat which can be easily handled by a couple or single-handed. Renowned for their seaworthiness and their impressive turn of speed these yachts or often chosen for blue water passages and safe family cruisers.  This Freedom 35 is not for everyone because of its unusual rig, but this is a good example.

Accommodation

Although Kyrah is the long-keel version of this yacht, the centreboard case has been fitted to give additional storage and security at sea. It provides very secure handholds and can be leant against when cooking! If extra space is required the centreboard case can be removable.

The cabins and saloon of this yacht are all lined with American ash.  The work surfaces in the galley and toilet are finished in Formica laminate. The cabin sole throughout the boat is teak decking. The upholstery was replaced throughout in 2014.

Fore Cabin 
Two vee berths with removable filler make a double berth. Airflow material under cushions. Two hanging lockers. Full-width shelf forward with lockers above berths and storage below. Access to mast and chain locker. Gebo Hatch over berth - New 2014.

Saloon 
A very comfortable saloon area with large table which converts to a double berth. Bookcase and shelves with stowage under seats. There is also stowage under each step of the companionway. Wet clothing locker adjacent to the companionway. New Gebo hatch aft of the table fitted and headlining replaced - 2013.

Navigation Area 
Large chart table with chart stowage under. Two position ‘swing under’ seat. Shelf and instrument area. Locker for equipment under chart table

Heads
Briden marine toilet, stainless steel wash basin with a pressurised water system, taps, separate shower head. Standby foot pump. Lockers below and behind sliding doors. Stopcocks are easily accessible in lockers.

Galley 
Stainless steel sink with the pressurised water system and foot pump. Stainless steel grab bar. Icebox, plentiful lockers and stowage behind and below. Custom Swiss made ‘Bertshi’ stainless steel two burner cooker with oven and hot air blower to the saloon. Gas system tested and certified - 2014

Aft Cabin
Two full berths. Built-in lockers. Access to the engine.

Cockpit 
The Self-draining cockpit has a slatted teak sole.  Seat lockers port and starboard. Steering pedestal with a compass. Slatted teak seat with liferaft storage under.

Rigging
Two Carbon Fibre Masts with aluminium wishbones form the basis of the Freedom rig. The main and mizzen wrap around sails are in heavy duty Dacron, with two reefs in the main and one in the mizzen. Mast step fittings resealed & painted Sept 2015
Kyrah has an extensive sail wardrobe for both racing and cruising. Including GT Performance sails, mizzen spinnaker, blade staysail, storm sail and more. 
All the control lines are led to the cockpit via Antal stoppers and two 2 sets of sail covers are included
