Broker Remarks

"Blue Belle" is a Jason Ker designed racing yacht, built in 2002 by Vision Yachts in the UK. This Ker 11.3 has been laid up ashore for many years but is very well presented. Her construction consists of foam sandwich with epoxy resins (light rigid structure), fin keel with lead bulb and stainless steel strut and spade rudder. C-Spars carbon rig with a double set of swept back spreaders and rod rigging. Very clean interior with chart table, galley and marine toilet. She is a fun boat to race and can't wait to get back on to the race course. Her last IRC rating was 1.157 "Blue Belle" is a fun and exciting boat to sail and is competitive in all conditions. Viewing is a must.

Accommodation

Mechanical and Rigging

The engine is a Yanmar 18hp. The owner suspects that it will require a rebuild or replacement. It is shaft driven with a two blade folding propeller.

Construction
Foam sandwich construction, using epoxy resins. This gives a very light, rigid structure. The keel is comprised of a lead bulb and stainless steel strut. This is encased in a fairing. The keel strut locates into the recess in the bottom of the hull. The spade rudder is a carbon fibre foam sandwich construction. The stock is carbon fibre and provides the structural strength.

Rig

"C-Spars" Carbon Mast with rod rigging Keel stepped with two sets of spreaders swept aft, a wide shroud base with a non overlapping configuration. Harken Carbon racing twin groove headstay foil. The design is a simple one with no running backstays or check stays. The deep section boom is made of lightweight carbon. The height of the mast and tension of the shrouds is readily adjustable by means of an internal hydraulic jack and chocks. Carbon Spi-pole.
