Broker Remarks
This is a good example of a LM 22 built in the early 80s which has been well maintained by the present owners. Gemma is an attractive craft with spacious accomodation and good storage despite her 22 foot length. New mainsail and cover purchased and fitted in 2013 with new upholstery covers in 2014.
Accommodation
She is very spacious and has good natural light provided by the perspex hatch and escape hatch forward.
Four people can sleep comfortablely in the 2 saloon berths and the double berth forward.
Privacy is provided by a curtain which seperates the forward berths from the main saloon and also houses the portable chemical toilet.
Interior is attractively finished in wood with new uphosltery covers fitted in 2014.
Also a removable and adjustable table which can be placed in cockpit.
Has excellent storage areas for its size with numerous lockers.
Galley:
At the entrance to the hatch is the galley area which has a gas fuelled 2 burner hob and grill. Next to this is a stainless steel sink and drainer with running water provided via an electric pump.
Mechanical and Rigging
She is powered by a Suzuki 15hp outboard petrol engine which has had approx 80 hours use and is six years old, with inboard controls. Fuel capacity of tank is 15 litres. The engine alternator also charges the single 12V battery.
Construction:
This LM 22 was built by LM in Denmark in c1982. Solidly constructed throughout in GRP and well maintained by the present owners. Topsides are white with a blue stripe and deck is finished in white. Cast iron fin keel and tiller steering. Hull has been overcoated in an epoxy gelshield.
Rigging and Sails:
Mast is deck stepped and is constructed from anodised aluminium. Standing rigging is stainless steel and was replaced in 2006. Running rigging is braid type and is in fair condition.
New mainsail and cover(2013) with two genoas of roller reefing type and a spinnaker pole but no sail.
