Owners Comments
I have only used her lightly, clocking up a total of 60 hours in 5 years. We had one cross channel trip which was fabulous but now my crew are moving away so my opportunities will be further diminished.
I looked at several boats before Orenda but the thing that swung it for me was the headroom in the cabin - I am 6 feet tall and it was the only one I could stand up in.
There is a spreadsheet listing all the maintenance since May 2005
The mainsail and genoa are in good condition, when the sacrificial strip on the genoa was replaced by Cowes Sailmakers they said it was a very good quality sail.
Builders Comments
The Bill Dixon designed Moody 38 offers excellent accommodation with a large double aft cabin and ensuite heads, a single cabin mid-ships, a double cabin with ensuite heads fwd, a well designed L shaped galley and a large comfortable saloon with seating and good sized dining table for entertaining.
A well built yacht, with ample stowage and well chosen deck equipment, the Moody 38 has great sea keeping qualities as well as being comfortable and a joy to sail.
Capable of long distance blue water passage making or equally happy cruising locally she is a fast, safe and easily sailed yacht that will prove herself time and time again.
