Broker Remarks
Kiwi has recently undergone a full refit by owner (2016), no expense spared using high quality materials and professional trades for rigging etc.
Brand new (still running in) Yamaha 9.9hp 4 stroke engine with remote throttle/gear and electric start. This was new for the 2017 season.
Kiwi is a lovely boat very easy to sail and feels very secure, she is the ideal starter boat or a boat for someone looking to downsize (at 7m long most efficient for marina fees as most impose a 7m min)
The Venturer is a compact trailer-sailer with good accommodation for her size, the Venturer makes a good small coastal or estuary cruiser, and is small enough to be trailed if required, though with her hull configuration is better craned on and off the trailer. Kiwi is a bilge-keeler variety.
Accommodation
4 berths, V berth and two single berths in main saloon
Separate heads with door and sea toilet
Galley with cupboards, storage, sink with manual cold water, cooker
All hull headliners removed, and new veltrim carpet applied to hull (the worst job to have to do your self on an old boat)
Saloon:
The saloon has a double V berth forward, that is raised so that the narrow end of the saloon settees can extend under it. This provides a total of four berths.
The Vee is very comfortable for two adults and is separated from the main cabin with a curtain, there is also a hatch above the Vee berth.
Galley:
Aft there is a small galley to port, with a removable stowage box/worktop forward of the cooker (the cooker was removed for service, the owners use a portable stove but the cooker is included and just needs re connecting).
Chart Table:
There is a clever fold-down chart table which is mounted on the bulkhead forming the forward side of the heads compartment. There is room on the bulkhead to mount instruments if required. There is a new VHF (DSC) mounted here, with built in independent GPS, which gives position info, speed over ground etc.
Heads:
The heads compartment is to starboard, with a door, providing a private compartment (which is a rare in a boat of this size). The heads is a proper sea toilet, with pumped sea water flush (recently serviced with new pipes)
