Broker Remarks
This Nicholson has had many thousands of pounds spent on her in very recent years as can be seen from the above details. She would now benefit from being re-upholstered internally and the choice and colour of fabric can be reflected by the new owner. A "go anywhere" cruiser that has had all the major items renewed/refurbished. At a recent insurance survey one small area of 3 to 4 blisters was found between the epoxy coating and gel coat surface and when pricked they did not exhibit the characteristic 'osmotic' smell. Further minor blisters were found in the boot top painted area. None of these blisters were regarded as osmotic or serious.
Accommodation
Foreward cabin with double berth, fwd heads compartment with sea water toilet and washbasin with H & C, shower. Saloon with large chart table, galley with 2 burner gas cooker, grill and oven(new cooker and associated pipework) stainless steel sink with H & C, fridge. Aft cabin with double berth and en-suite heads. All new taps and plumbing 2004.
Mechanical and Rigging
Fibreglass hull and deck with long keel. Hull recently epoxied for full osmosis treatment and certifictae available. Mermaid Merlin diesel, 4 cylinder model FSD425HP fitted new in 2004 and developing 56Kw, driving a 3 bladed propeller. New sterngear with new shaft, seal and flexible coupling. New morse controls. 4 x 12v batteries. Hot water from new calorifier and new pipework in 2004. 260 ltrs diesel in 1 tank and 400 ltrs fresh water in 2 tanks. All new seacocks and strainers fitted 2003. Wired for 240v shorepower. All new wiring 2004 and new navigation lights. Proctor alloy main and mizzen both recently stripped and re-powdered. Spinnaker pole. New stainless steel standing rigging and bottlescrews (2003), new Furlex roller reefing, 300S, for foresail and slab reefing to main. Mainsail, mizzen, No1 & 2 jib, genoa, spinnaker, staysail. Lewmar winches.
Inventory
Brookes and Gatehouse Hornet wind speed/direction, depth and log. Sailor DF/radio telephone, all overhauled 2003. Neco autopilot, Sestral steering compass. 35 lb CQR anchor, 15kg kedge anchor, Bruce 15kg anchor, 90' chain, Francis electric windlass. 6 fenders and various warps, sprayhood with detachable cockpit cover, cockpit gratings, Davits, sun awning, winter cover, new fire extinguishers, 2 electric high performance bilge pumps, radar reflector.
