The Folkboat is one of the most popular cruiser racer sailboats ever designed. Originating from Scandinavia in the early 1940's as weekend camping cruiser, the class quickly prospered and became a popular one design racing boat. "Sweet Caroline" is a well-known boat with a racing pedigree, having won the Round-the-Island Race in Class and been placed second in the Folkboat Nationals. She has been beautifully maintained and comes complete with an extensive sail inventory. The aluminium road trailer is available by separate negotiation and is priced at £2,500.
Accommodation
Blue velour bunk cushions. Cabin light.
Mechanical and Rigging
Composite GRP hull; teak deck; mahogany coachroof and deck trim. Keel sheathed and epoxied 2006. Tohatsu 8 hp outboard (serviced 2008); 15 litre fuel tank and bracket. Timber mast and boom - re-varnished annually. Main and jib (Saunders); Main, jib and spinnaker (Nordic); Main, two jibs and spinnaker (North).
Inventory
Compass and bracket; depth gauge. Anchor and mooring lines (all to Folkboat Association Class Rules). Paddle, boom crutch, flagstaff and ensign, wind indicator, boarding ladder. Cockpit cover (new); sail cover; and lifting straps. Also, by separate negotiation: Aluminium trailer (little used) with spare wheel and mast cradles (£2,500).
