Broker Remarks
An outstanding and well equipped Oyster 485. Designed by Holman & Pye and built to the exacting standards of Oyster Marine and simply stunning. The Oyster 485 is an especially popular model, and the ideal size for a long term cruising boat that will suit either a couple or small family who enjoy the better things in life. This example was the last built and has two double cabins, both with en suite facilities that include showers, the berth in the spacious forward cabin is fitted with a high qulaity batting system that provides additional comfort as well as allowing air circulation.
The major refit after circumnavigation included new rig, new sails, new canvas and new lether covers for saloon upholstery. The reburbishment of the boat in 2012 included Anderson electric winches, Deck caulking, Injectors, new Zodiac 3.2 rib, replacement of gas regulator and servicing of the life raft. This Oyster 485 provides luxurious accomodation and features a stunning leather interior that is both practical and extremley comfortable. The interior is finished in teak and this combined with the large saloon windows give a light and airy space.
'White Wings' will go anywhere as she is fully equipped for long distance cruising including comprhensive navigation instruments as well as a bow thruster, generator, watermaker, washing machine, heater, air conditioning and plenty of stowage above and below decks for comfort when living aboard. The interior is finished in teak with sculpted fiddles and grab rails.

The deck saloon is light and airy and features a semi circular settee and table which can be opened to form an oval dining table. To starboard is a two seater sette that extends into a 'trotter box' to give a useful seaberth with lee cloth. There are several cupboards for storage and plenty of windows and portholes to give an outside view and ventilation.
The navigation area is to port and is equipped with a comprhensive range of communication and navigation systems as well as ample stowage.
The galley is to starboard and offers a Force 10 4-burner cooker with oven and grill, twin stainless steel sinks, lockers, front opening fridge and a separate cold box that can operate as a fridge or freezer.
The owners cabin is aft and offers a centre-line double berth fitted with high quality battening under the mattress, a curved settee, dressing table and large hanging locker. There is plenty of stowage in various drawers and lockers. The en suite heads is to port with toilet, washbasin, mirror, stowage and separate shower area.
