This 1971 Salar 40 has a traditional long keel and is a classic yacht capable of long distance cruising. She is
powered by a 72 hp Perkins diesel engine which was removed along with the gearbox and fully reconditioned in
2021. Mast and boom were resprayed in 2021, all standing rigging was replaced in 2021, The addition of Solar
panels, a lithium battery system, new davits and a Scanmar Autohelm self steering make her a very capable
cruising yacht. "Lonehort" (Irish Registered) has been very well maintained and if you are looking for a lovingly
restored Salar 40 you need to see this one.
