2003 Seaward 25  for sale in Kent 

The Seaward 25 provides accommodation for 2 berths within 1 cabin and a single berth in the cockpit for summer use. This Seaward was built in 2003 to the 2004 Specification.  "Blue Peter" is a robust semi-displacement all-weather motorboat crafted by Seaward Marine Ltd in Cowes, UK. Ideal for memorable getaways, it is powered by twin Yanmar 75HP turbocharged diesel engines, powering shafts, and 2 x 3-bladed fixed propellers for impressive performance on the water. She is well-equipped and well-maintained, having just been put back in the water following her annual maintenance. This Seaward will not be on the market long so well worth an early viewing.  

Accommodation

The Seaward 25 provides two berths in one cabin, featuring a forward cabin with two spacious berths that can be converted into a double with an infill.  This area is brightened by natural light from an overhead deck light and two portholes on the port and three portholes on the starboard sides.  

Moving aft, the heads compartment is located to port and includes a white shelf sink with hot and cold water, as well as a marine toilet. Hot water is supplied by the engine through a calorifier tank and a 240V immersion heater. 

Opposite the heads to starboard, is the galley equipped with a single stainless-steel sink featuring pressurized hot and cold water, a two-burner gas hob with a grill, 240-volt socket, and ample storage space.  

Ascending the saloon steps to the wheelhouse, you find a single helm seat positioned to port, complete with full engine controls, navigation aids, and vessel control switches. There is a portable 12V coolbox in the wheelhouse which plus into a 12v socket and there are also 2 x 240v sockets. On the starboard side, opposite the helm, is the navigator seat featuring a small chart table and storage for charts and equipment. "Blue Peter" is additionally fitted with an Eberspacher diesel cabin heating system, ensuring comfort with vents leading to the saloon, cabin areas, and wheelhouse. 

Moving aft through a single door,  leads to a spacious aft cockpit for a boat of this size, featuring bench rear seating with under-seat storage, step seating to both port and starboard side, cream cockpit cushions, and access to the two Yanmar engines. There is a single berth in the cockpit that can be used in the summer. A hot and cold water shower unit is also fitted in the cockpit. This area is completed with a full cockpit canopy.

Mechanical and Rigging

Mechanical Systems:

The Seaward 25 is powered by twin 2003 Yanmar 75hp four-cylinder turbocharged engines, indirectly cooled that were last serviced in 2023 with approximately 1260 hours of operation as at 24th June 2024.  It utilizes shafts with 2 x 3-bladed fixed propellers fitted with rope cutters. The starboard rope cutter was new in 2024 and the port one was overhauled in 2024. 

These engines are supplied by two 100- litre stainless steel fuel tanks, providing a total capacity of 200 Litres. The Seaward 25 achieves a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 17 knots. Engine control is handled by twin-lever Morse controls.

Electrical Systems:

Equipped with two 12-volt batteries. (1 x engine, 140Ah 2022) + (1 x domestic,100Ah) 

These batteries are charged by the alternator and battery charger when connected to the 240V power main. A Victron battery management system ensures optimal performance of the electrical setup onboard.

History & Construction:

This Seaward 25 was built in 2003 to 2004 Specifications by Seaward Marine Ltd in Cowes, UK and has a blue fiberglass hull and a white superstructure and moulded nonslip decks, Stainless – Steel pulpit and blue cockpit canopy. “Blue Peter” is Powered by 2 x 75Hp Yanmar diesel engine. The owner has enjoyed the boat for the last 6 years but is selling to boat due to a change of circumstances. The boat was last out of the water in May 2024 where she was Antifouled, anodes replaced, and her hull polished. The owner also replaced both Cutlass and shaft bearing in 2018.  A copy of the last Survey is available upon request
