Broker Remarks
This is a fine example of the Sigma 36 designed by David Thomas, built in 1980 and commissioned in 1981. With only two owners from new she has been well looked after and has never been raced.
The Sigma 36 has an excellent designed deck area, clear from tripping and obstruction. She has a wide deck at sides with easy access to all areas. Below deck she encompasses 7 berths, she has the standard V berth in bow, a double in the aft cabin as well as three crew berths. This yacht has benefited from a number of different works since being with the current owner including a completely renewed heads compartment, a refitted aft cabin, a renewed navigation area as well as a complete rewiring of all of the electric circuits. Accommodation
Seven berth, two in focsle, three in the main cabin and a double in the aft cabin. Traditional layout with v berth in bow, heads to starboard with stowage to port. Main cabin with seating and bunks around the main table. 2 x 100 litre water tanks below bunks. Galley to port with nav area opposite on the starboard side with entry to aft cabin.
The heads have been completely renewed in 2008. Complete with sink vanity unit, toilet, shower and lighting. There is pumped hot water via 230vac emersion heater.
The nav area has been completely renewed, with good sized table and plenty of stowage.
All electric circuits have been rewired including shore power via distribution board protected with mcb/rcd. 230vac from the dc system is also provided via inverter. An additional 3rd 12v battery was included to give a total of 225amp. All three batteries new in 2008. Charging is via solar panel which keeps the batteries in excellent order. There are also 2 x 230vac/12vdc battery charges built in.
Galley has a two burner stove with grill and oven fitted new in 2008, cold box, sink and stowage. Two fresh water tanks provide 45 gallons of water via pumped system.
The aft cabin has been refitted and includes additional stowage.

Mechanical and Rigging
Rig:
Original fractional rig with single spreader and babystay. Boom with rod kicker. Original standing ss rigging and ss bottle screws. All sails are original including genoa’s no. 1, 2 & 3, mainsail, spinnaker no. 1 & 2, try and strom. Although all of the aformentioned are original they are in good order. Profurl roller reefing system fitted new in 2008. Running rigging replaced 2013
Machinery:
The yacht is fitted with a vetus 25hp three cylinder diesel (fitted in 2008) last serviced in September 2014 She cruises at 6.5 knots and burns approx one gallon per 2.5 hours. Sterngear is ss 1 1/4’’ shaft and twin blade propeller fitted new in 2009. Shaft anodes replaced every lift. Cutlass bearing new in 2009. 22 gallon (100 litre) fuel tank (replaced 2013).

Deck:
Wheel steering complete with emergency tiller. All lines lead aft to the cockpit through organisers and clutches. All winches are lewmar. 2x 44 three speed foresail sheet winches. 2x 24 halyard winches and 2x 24 spinnaker winches. Cockpit lockers are deep with good stowage. Gas locker is in the cockpit with outboard drain. Guardrails, stachions and stanchion bases renewed 2013. Portholes and hatches refurbished 2013. The anchor is stowed in a bow locker.
