1987 Trident Marine Warrior 38
The Trident Marine Warrior 38 is a much sought-after blue-water yacht popular with both larger sailing families and long-distance cruisers alike. The particular genius of the design by Bill Dixon and Angus Primrose is to fit 3 double cabins, that's 6 berths without using the saloon, and 2 heads, into a 38-footer without making it feel cramped. They also managed to give her masses of deck space and a large deep cockpit while maintaining handsome exterior lines: all in all quite an achievement.
You might say the Warrior 38 sits mid-way between the much more expensive Halberg-Rassy and the more prosaic Moodys also designed by Dixon at the time. She is a definite must-see for anyone looking for a strong, capable coastal cruiser or planning to head off further afield in a boat this size.
“Sha Tin” has been owned by the current owner for the past 27 years. The owner has completed a significant number of upgrades including a new Beta 43 engine in 2018 that has only has 20 hours usage as well as new suite of sails in 2018.
The current owners now reluctantly selling due to work pressures and an addition to the family. “Sha Tin” is a good opportunity for anyone sailing with a larger crew or looking to venture off further afield. Video viewing is highly recommended.
Accommodation
This Trident Warrior 38 offers six berths in three cabins excluding the saloon, comprising a Port aft cabin, with a double berth the skipper's navigation area is located in the aft cabin. It is a novel, but useful feature. In addition, it leaves the navigator undisturbed on a busy yacht and leaving the galley/saloon uncluttered. A Starboard aft cabin with double berth with hanging locker.
The saloon has a U-shaped settee to starboard with a large oval table that easily seats six people. It has space behind the central seat allowing free movement throughout the yacht even with every one seated. There is 1.9m headroom throughout. The yacht has a real cosy feel to it due to the Wallas Marine diesel heating system
Opposite the saloon table is a linear galley that has a 2 burner cooker with oven and grill and lots of work surface. It has a 240v microwave and 12v fridge. The galley has two stainless steel sinks with pressurised hot and cold water. Water is heated by the calorifier and via a 240v immersion heater.

Brokers Comments:
This is a great opportunity to buy an extremely strong and long distance seaworthy yacht that has had considerable upgrades in the past two years including new sails, engine and generator. It has been owned by the current owner for the past 27 years during which time he has sailed her to Greece, Italy, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, Germany and many other European places. It has only had two previous owners and was lightly used by previous owners. It is very reluctantly being sold due to the addition of a new family member and work commitments. More photos will be available once the UK lock-down has been lifted and the owner has had a chance to remove their personal belongings.
