The Twister 28 is an outstanding long-keeled classic from with elegant lines and superb, well-mannered performance. This capable cruiser is a fun sail, reliable for coastal cruising or ocean crossing and is fitted with a Beta Marine 14 engine. These classic boats of this quality are rare so don't hesitate to come and have a look. We believe the age to be between 1968 and 1975.
Accommodation
The interior is fitted out with solid teak joinery and offers four berths in two cabins. Headroom is approximately 6ft and there is excellent stowage throughout the boat. In the forecabin there is a V-berth with infill and stowage underneath. Opening hatch to deck. Full width heads compartment with marine toilet and washbasin. Cold pressurised water system and a 227L freshwater tank capacity. In the saloon there are two settee berths and a chart table to port. The galley opposite has a single stainless-steel sink and a three-burner gas hob and a coolbox. Upholstered in red fabric.

Sails & Spars
This Twister 28 is a deck step masthead Bermudan sloop with an alloy Sailspar mast and an alloy Zspars boom, which was replaced new in 2021. The Spinnaker pole is also of alloy construction. Stainless-steel standing rigging and manual backstay adjuster. The running rigging was last replaced in 2021. The mainsail is slab reefing and the headsail is furling.

Powered by a Beta 14 19HP diesel engine, with low engine hours. 2-cylinder, shaft drive to a fixed, 3-blade propellor. This engine features indirect cooling and a 45L fuel capacity in a stainless-steel tank. This yacht has a cruising speed of 5kn and a max speed of 6kn. The engine was last serviced in 2021.

History & Construction
The Twister 28 was built by Tyler Boat Co. Ltd C.1968 and designed by Kim Holman. The deck and hull are of fiberglass construction. Last antifouled and anodes replaced in 2021 when the boat was last ashore. This yacht has had preventative osmosis treatment, undertook by Swale Marina. This yacht has been under its current ownership for 2 years and the reason for selling this yacht, is because they have purchased larger another yacht.
