Broker Remarks
The Vancouver 36 is in superb condition, Vancouver's are well known as fantastic long distance robust sailing yachts & this example stands up to the reputation very well.
She has been updated and maintained with no expense spared and to the highest standard. Here is a list of some of the most important upgrades; she had a new Volvo Penta DS-40-F diesel engine in 2014, new standing & running rigging in 2008. A new mainsail & Yankee in 2013, complete instrument update in 2013 & 2017, the list goes on & on.
Her condition throughout is superb the finish of the boat with regards to, gel coat, woodwork & upholstery is exceptionally high.
The current owner purchased her at the beginning of last year and made some personal changes to the electronics and rigging to bring her up to his standard. Due to a move abroad for work begrudgingly the current owner feels it is best to put her on the market, to ensure a new owner maintains her high standard and they can enjoy her every bit as much as he has for this short period of ownership.
The current owner cruised her for extended periods during the summer of 2017 with most time spent around the Southwest coast and trips to France. The Vancouver will battle all conditions at ease providing a comfortable & robust passage every time she sets off of the jetty.
If you are searching for an all-weather solidly built cruiser then this one should be top of the list, there has been no expense spared equipping this yacht, so there is nothing to do apart from wave goodbye.
Owners Comments:
It is with a heavy heart that I am selling Voyager. She is a fantastic cruising yacht, handles impeccably in a seaway, and yet her rig has been updated for both performance and ease of handling, and her electronics were refitted and upgraded last year. I have never seen a yacht of this age so well maintained and got a similar comment from the Surveyor.
