This Westerly GK29 has had its hull completely stripped back, dried out and a complete epoxy system applied and then finished with a copper coating.(Stage photos available) .It has also had a complete bespoke oak interior fitted ,making it probably the best GK29 that we have every seen or likely to see .Again before and after photos available. .Its standing rigging was changed in 2020 New engine 2010 ,Electric windlass ,Diesel cabin Heating ,TV,4 man liferaft making this the perfect boat to go cruising or the odd club race. This yacht needs to be seen to be believed.
Accommodation
The Westerly GK29 offers four berths in one cabin and the saloon..
The Forward cabin has a double v berth with infill and has an opening deck hatch above to make cabin light and airy .Adjacent and to port is the heads with a drop down sink with pressurised hot and cold water .
Opposite the Heads is a wet hanging wardrobe. Going aft behind a door there is the saloon. The saloon has two long bench seats which can be used as single berths either side of an oak table which hides a wine rack inside .
Going aft to port there is the navigation station with drop down oak seat. This has space to store charts and display a range of navigation instruments Aft of the chart table is a single berth with goes under the cockpit .To Starboard there is a substantial galley all redesigned in oak .A chest of draws with work top, two burner hob with grill and oven, 12v fridge and sink with pressurised hot and cold water. Hot water heated by engine only. Hanging on the bulkhead is a new 24inch TV (2023). Eberspaecher diesel cabin heating.
Mechanical and Rigging
Mechanical Systems:
This GK 29 is fitted with Yanmar 15hp Diesel engine that was fitted new in 2010 .Shaft drive with a fixed 3 bladed propeller with rope cutter. The engine was last serviced in March 2023. There is 60 litre Steel fuel tank .
Sails and Spars:
This GK 29 has a sloop Bermudan masthead rig with Alloy deck stepped mast and boom All standing rigging was replaced in 2020 .Running rigging has been 80% replaced .It has a fully battened mainsail dropping into a stackpack and a 140% furling genoa. with a Harken furler. All lines are led aft for easy handling. There is a spinnaker pole.

History and Construction:
This Westerly GK29 was built in 1974. It has undergone several major refits in its time including new interior, hull stripped back and epoxy coated and then copper coated, new engine and updated electronics. The yacht has a white GRP hull and superstructure with Tec deck teak effect side decks and seats. It has had a number of owners in its time. This is the best GK29 we have seen come to the market and is well worth viewing.
