Broker Remarks
This Yarmouth 23 is a fantastic twist on a classic gaff rigged cutter, she is to a modern standard and was one of the very few built here in the UK by Yarmouth Boat Company on the Isle of Wight.
Ther Yarmouth boats have a huge following around the world and a very active owners association who regularly plan rally's etc with other Yarmouth 23 owners.
The Yarmouth 23 is an excellent introduction to the classic sailing fraternity, she offers many comforts that most modern boats have and also offers fantastic accommodation for a yacht of her size, offering berths for up to four people.
This Yarmouth 23 has been maintained to a very high standard and presents very well, the current owners have upgraded the spec as and when necessary, the standing rigging was replaced in 2012, along with a new jib and staysail furling systems. The wooden spars were all refinished in 2014 and in superb condition, the very reliable Beta BZ482 13.5hp diesel engine has regular servicing and the electronics package is also comprehensive, with a new Raymarine E70 chartplotter added in 2012.
The boat boasts a Lewmar V700 electric anchor windlass to make life when anchoring less strenuous, inviting you into more anchorages to enjoy the local brews and beaches.
The Yarmouth 23 is also very at home as a long distance cruiser, this is proved by the owner of Eileen of Avoca who has upped and left the UK and sailed his Yarmouth 23 all over Europe and now in the Caribbean, you can follow his blog by searching for Eileen of Avoca.
This Yarmouth 23 should certainly be considered if you are searching for a modern classic, contact our sales office to arrange a viewing! 01752 605377
