New Listing – Westerly Oceanmaster 48
Testadura is the first Westerly Oceanmaster, number 1 and the sail number is OM1. She was shown by Westerly at the Southampton boat show in September 1989 and delivered to her first owner in November 1989. We have all the original paperwork and handbooks.
She has had new teak decks, epoxied hull, new standing rigging, new running rigging, new gearbox, new propellor, new stainless fuel tanks (95 gall.), new electronics, new navigation station (Raymarine C120 colour chart plotter/radar mounted in a pod beneath the spray hood), Radar, Furuno GPS, new autohelm, 5 new batteries and new wind generator and voltage regulator, new fridge, new top to the Taylors 041 cooker, etc.
She is all in good working order and ready for immediate use. She is cutter rigged and the sails are all well used but good. The mainsail is fully battened (5 battens) with Fredrickson cars and with three slab reefs, all lines led aft to the cockpit. There are eight self-tailing winches in the cockpit and one on the mast for the foresail halyards. In a gale using the third deep reef and the staysail with the genoa rolled up, she sails comfortably.
