A lovely Southerly 38 has just been listed by Network Yacht Brokers in Dartmouth. Built in 2013 by Southerly (Northshore Yachts), and believed to be the last one off the line. CENTAYNE II is a lovely pristine, lightly used example of the Southerly 38 and is a very attractive blue water cruiser.
The variable draft swing keel, with a draft of 2.59m that at a touch of a button the swing keel can reduce to 0.82m allows easy access to shallow water cruising.
CENTAYNE II has a fabulous and spacious cockpit with twin helm positions and a light and spacious interior.
This Southerly 38 has a comprehensive inventory that includes, bow and stern thrusters, full cockpit canopy, holding tank, electric windlass, full navigation instrumentation, life raft, Snap Davits and Eberspacher cabin heating throughout.
Selden double headsail rig with double swept back spreaders. North Sails fully battened mainsail, furling genoa and furling self tacking jib. The stainless steel optional bowsprit allows a gennaker to be used.
There is spacious accommodation for seven. Two berths in the forecabin, a large centreline double berth in the aft cabin (both with en suite heads) and a double and single settee conversion in the saloon. Unique to this particular Southerly 38 are the marvellous bespoke vertical tri-view port lights in the saloon, which totally transform the interior.
This Southerly 38 built in 2013 is fitted with a Yanmar 3JH5E 39 hp engine for which ther is a full service history and was last serviced in April 2017. There is access to the engine from the aft cabin and saloon. Shaft drive via reduction gearbox to Maxprop feathering propeller with Ambassador Rope cutter.
CENTAYNE II has been in the same ownership since new and has been cruised in UK, Northern France and the Channel Islands. She has always been marina berthed (except when cruising) and has not been subject to any heavy weather. Currently afloat at Noss on Dart Marina in Dartmouth, call us to arrange a viewing.
