She was built in 1990 and is still in the same devoted ownership, her owner supervised the build in Sweden. She has been stored ashore under cover mast down each winter.
Hallberg-Rassy 42 Mechanical:
She is powered by a single Volvo D2 75hp engine , installed in 2015 with less than 100 hours running since installation. This Hallberg –Rassy 42 has a shaft drive to a maxiprop 3 bladed propeller. There is 2-door access to the engine compartment off the walkthrough.
MYRIAD is sloop rigged but the original cutter rig is still available if required. All her standing rigging was replaced in 2010. She has in mast mainsail reefing and headsail furling (2015), with five year old Mainsail and Genoa.
Hallberg-Rassy 42 Accommodation:
Below decks she has the looks we expect from Hallberg-Rassy with light mahogany matt silk finished joinery and blue patterned upholstery. The ceiling is panelled with mahogany strips with the floor carpeted apart from the galley, beneath is varnished teak with holly inlaid stripes. The port settee has a fixed backrest which lifts to utilise the space behind. To starboard the owner took the option for two comfortable armchairs.
Diesel heating throughout offers comfort when the air chills. The galley is well designed and offers plenty of stowage for supplies and utensils with an all round fiddle rail. The aft cabin is spacious with a double and large single berth together with ensuite heads with shower. The foreward guest cabin has two berths and has been designed so that there is room to dress. Access to day heads that also has a shower stall. There is a comfortable chart table seat and spacious chart table with instrumentation and switch panel.
