Yarmouth 23
The Yarmouth 23 is a true pocket cruiser, and pulls it off in a way that very few other brands can. Robust in her construction, and traditional in her design, LOUISA is fortunate to also be able to boast having surprising internal space and overall comfort. The Yarmouth is one of a hand full of clever designs that you could justify buying whether to sail up the estuaries and creeks, or to go very much further afield. We would go so far as to suggest that there would be nothing to stop you sailing across the pond on one of these if you equipped it right.
LOUISA has an enormous inventory, including a comprehensive set of electronics ( which includes GPS with colour plotter) full sail wardrobe (gaff, staysail, jib, topsail), cabin heating etc etc. She even has beaching legs and a road trailer. The Dark Blue GRP hull is complimented by high gloss exterior woodwork.
Ingenious removeable and moveable table for drinks/ meals in saloon and also for chart reading at bottom of companionway as well as in the cockpit for al frsco dining.
Designed by Freeman and Wyatt (Fisher Boats) and built in 2000 at Yarmouth Marine on the Isle of Wight.
Practical Boat Owner said of the Yarmouth 23 ‘ the builders won’t need to rely on their prototypes eye catching colour scheme and gleaming varnish to attract customers, on this little boat youwill find plenty of sense and substance behind the gloss.’
The current owners have had her for 5 years and are now ready to get a larger boat, and this is the only reason why the boat has been put on the market. Come and see this gaff rigged cutter for yourself LOUISA is afloat on her mooring in the Salcombe Estuary and available for viewing.
