New Lifeboat Launched by Royal guests
HRH Prince William & his fiance, Miss Catherine Middleton, are today visiting Anglesey to assist in the launch of the new RNLI Atlantic 85 lifeboat, Hereford Endeavour. The couple will be guests of honour as the Latest RNLI boat is presented to the Trearddur Bay Lifeboat station which has served the Island’s west coast since 1967. the inshore class lifeboat will replace the previous lifeboat and offer superior search & rescue facilities as well as additional capacity for carrying casualties.
Prince William is, of course, no stranger to the area, currently serving as a Pilot in nearby RAF Valley as part of the RAF Search and Rescue team who work closely with the local coastgaurd and RNLI stations.
