Horizons Children’s Sailing Charity Needs Your Vote!!
Horizons is a charity that uses sailing as a vehicle to help disadvantaged and disabled children from the inner city communities of Plymouth and the surrounding areas. They provide learning and educational opportunities that increase self-confidence and improve social and practical skills, through the experience of water-based activities that might otherwise be beyond their means.
Horizons Children’s Sailing Charity operate from their base in Richmond Walk and from Mayflower Marina. We have witnessed first-hand the good works that they do. However, their running costs are considerable and they rely on charitable donations, grant funding and a small army of volunteers.
Horizons have applied for funding from the Lloyds Community Fund 2013 and have been short listed, along with several other charities, for a chance to win £3,000 for their organisation. The winner is determined by obtaining the greatest number of votes from the Public. If like me you believe that Horizons is a worthy cause please vote for them. Details of how you can vote are found below.
