Accommodation
This magnificent British Registered sloop was built by Prior & Sons under the suipervision of Lloyds and has been maintained to Lloyds A1 standard. She is one of the only two Buchanan 38 hulls built. Hull is of Mahogany and Canadian Rock Elm with Teak superstructure. Accommodation comprises of 6 Berths in 2 cabins with Saloon having 2 Berths and a 2 further Quarter Berths. Additional 2 Berths also in the Forepeak. Galley to starboard with Stainless Steel Sink and twin burner cooker / heater with ample working surfaces and storage. Navigation area to port. Head with rebuilt Baby Blake w.c. Cockpit with tiller steering and Lazarette.
Mechanical and Rigging
Volvo Penta 40hp Diesel engine last serviced in April 2003with roughly 51 hours use, direct to 16x12x 3 bladed prop and Ropecutter. Stainless Steel Fuel tank capacity of 20 Gallons. Aluminium Mast by Sparlight with Stainless Steel Standing rigging; Timber Boom and Alloy Spinnaker pole. Sail wardrobe is all very recent and consists of semi battened Main Sail with roller reefing; Trisail; 2 x Genoas; No2 is Ratsey & Laphorn modified for luff groove; 2 x Spinnakers and Storm Jib. Foresail Furlex 300s reefing.
