“Coralee” is a fine example of the popular and successful Cobra 850, a comfortable cruiser with sporty, IOR-inspired looks. With her deep safe cockpit, comfortable accommodation, good headroom and generous amounts of stowage, she would make an ideal family cruiser.
Accommodation
5 berths: forward cabin with double v-berth and inset; saloon table/settee converts to a double berth; and a quarter berth on the starboard side. Functional galley, comprising: Plastimo Neptune 2000 2-burner hob, grill and oven; stainless steel sink; cutlery drawer and plenty of stowage beneath. The heads is located forward of the saloon and comprises: Jabsco sea toilet; stainless steel sink; and mirror. Hanging locker opposite. Opening hatch in forward cabin. Headroom is a generous 6ft 0in.
Mechanical and Rigging
GRP hull, deck and superstructure. The hull is white with a teak toe-rail cap. The decks have been painted with grey non-slip paint. Tiller steering. Twin bilge keel. Designer: David Feltham. Builder: Cobra Yachts, Portsmouth. Yanmar 2GM 18hp, shaft-driven 3-bladed propeller. Engine hours: 668.5 (Curtis Hour Meter) Diesel tank: 20 gallons. Water tank: 40 gallons (located in forward cabin, under the double berth). 2x 110 Ah batteries, with battery selector switch. Masthead sloop rig. Furling genoa (1996) on a Rotostay headsail furling system. Slab-reefed mainsail (1996). Standing rigging replaced 2004.
