Designed by Angus Primrose, the Moody 29 is a remarkably spacious yacht for her length, with a beamy, deep bodied hull. She offers roomy accommodation for a 29-footer, and good steady handling and performance in typical Moody style. This yacht has only had two owners from new, well maintained, in very good condition and is well worth viewing
Accommodation
The Moody 29 offers six berths in two cabins with full standing headroom. It has a V berth forward, with plenty of storage space including two cup holders
Aft of the forward cabin and to starboard is the Heads with hanging locker behind. The Heads has a Jabsco marine toilet and sink with pressurized hot and cold water.
The saloon as two settee berths, one converting to a double, with a bulkhead mounted fold down saloon tabler, the upholstery in beige has all recently been replaced with new covers. There is lot of storage space above and below the saloon settees.
The galley is to Port and has a stainless-steel sink with pressurised hot and cold water that is heated by 240v immersion heater, fridge unit with ice box, a gas cooker with grill and oven. It has a water capacity of 180 litre. The Chart table is to starboard with quarter berth aft. This Moody 29 is fully carpeted throughout. There is an Eberspacher heating system on board this is not operational.
Mechanical and Rigging
The Moody 29 is masthead Bermudan sloop rigged. Silver anodised Proctor aluminium mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging with backstay (2004). Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing to loose fotted mainsail with lazyjacks and stackpack. Plastimo headsail furling system.

Located under companionway. 2001 Bukh DV24 marine diesel engine.24 hp. Twin cylinder withh approx 1200 hours as at May 2019. Raw water cooled. Electric start with emergency hand start capacity (Last serviced 2019) Shaft drive to fixed three blade propeller. Rope cutter to shaft. Single lever engine controls. 60 litre plastic fuel capacity (new tank 2018). Last out of water service anodes, antifoul etc April 2019.
2 x 12-volt domestic batteries (2015), 1 x 12-volt engine battery, charging from the engine alternator, Sterling battery charger. 240-volt shore power connection with 240-volt ring main.

Fin Keel, Tiller steering.
Owned by the current owners for the last 16 years, selling as they have decided its time to retire from sailing. Only one previous owner. The boat is named “Carronade” (Carronade is a short smooth bore cannon) after a cannon where the previous owner worked, the Carron Ironworks in Falkirk. The current owners have sailed France, Holland, and local UK waters. This Moody 29 is in nice condition, competitively priced for a quick sale, viewing highly recommended.

Stainless steel safety rails and guard wires.
