Broker Remarks

"Saoirse" is a classic yacht of quality timber construction built by the craftsmen in Robertsons of Woodenbridge, Suffolk.
The brief was for a classic cruising yacht capable of fast passages with single handed sailing if required, to perform well over a wide range of wind strengths with an easy motion but, above all, with an integrity of structure which assures safety. The finished yacht easily fulfilled her brief by achieving 6th overall monohull in the 1993 Round Britain Race under her original name "La Gamine" Subsequently sold to the West of Ireland when she was re-named. Later sold to Dublin when a replacement Yanmar diesel installed. Current owner purchased as a "Covid" project and brought to an exacting standard by an experienced yachtsman refurbishments to include replacement standing rig and other enhancements listed in the specification with the year against the various additions. Placed on the Irish Ships Register by the current owner. A quality built yacht that will not disappoint on viewing by arrangement.
